Scaler & Handpiece Sleeves
Ultrasonic scaling spreads aerosol over the instrument, the cord and everything within reach of the chair. This sleeve covers the scaler body and the first section of the cord, and it is thin enough not to dampen vibration or block the water stream. Size 4.0 × 20 cm, 300 sleeves per box. Thanks to their leak-proof construction, the sleeves minimise the risk of transmitting microorganisms such as the viruses HIV, HBV or HCV.

Are these sleeves only for ultrasonic scalers?
The size and shape are cut for ultrasonic scalers, but the sleeves also fit handpieces of a similar diameter.
Does the sleeve affect scaling performance?
No. The film is thin enough not to dampen vibration or block the water stream.
How do I keep the sleeve in place during use?
The sleeve fits tightly against the body of the instrument. During a long appointment you can also tape its top edge to the cord.

Can a sleeve be reused?
No. Each sleeve is single use, one per patient.
