Phosphor Plate Covers
Single-use ProtectDent covers protect X-ray plates from soiling and damage and prevent cross-infection. The covers fit the plate closely, so the plate sits stably while the image is taken. Three formats — size 0 for children and small periapical images, size 1 for anterior teeth and size 2 for standard imaging in adults — and size 2 is also available in a box of 300 pieces, for practices where it is used up fastest. Thanks to their leak-proof construction, the sleeves minimise the risk of transmitting microorganisms such as the viruses HIV, HBV or HCV.

Which size do I need for my plates?
Size 0 for children and small periapical images, size 1 for anterior teeth, size 2 for standard imaging in adults. Size 2 is also available in a box of 300 covers.
Which scanning systems do these work with?
They suit the plate formats used by the common scanning systems, including Carestream, Air Techniques, Acteon and Dentsply Sirona. Match the cover size to the plate size, not to the scanner.
What is the difference between the 100 and 300 boxes?
Only the quantity: 100 or 300 covers. The 300-piece box exists for size 2, which is the size practices use up fastest.
How is the product packaged?
The outer box is 100% recyclable paper. The covers themselves are single use.
Can a cover be reused?
No. Each cover is single use, one per exposure.
