Phosphor Plate Covers (with Card Insert)
A damaged phosphor plate produces artefacts on the image, and replacing plates costs money. These covers contain an extra cardboard insert that protects the plate from damage. A self-adhesive tab closes the cover once the plate is inserted. Size 2, 100 pieces per box. Thanks to their leak-proof construction, the sleeves minimise the risk of transmitting microorganisms such as the viruses HIV, HBV or HCV.

What is the cardboard insert for?
The cardboard insert protects the plate from damage inside the cover.
How does the self-adhesive closure work?
Slide the plate in, peel off the strip and press down the top part of the cover. The closure seals the cover, so saliva cannot reach the plate in the mouth.
Which scanning systems do these covers fit?
The envelopes are size 2 and fit most scanners that take size 2 phosphor plates, including Dentsply Sirona Xios, Carestream CS 7600 and CS 7200, Dürr Dental Optime and VistaScan, and Acteon PSPIX.
Can the cardboard insert be reused?
No. The cover and the card inside it are single use, one set per image.
How does this compare with covers without a stiffener?
The version with the card works well where the cost of replacing a phosphor plate matters. The extra stiffening that the card inside this cover provides protects your plate from damage to a large extent.
