Will the sleeve affect image quality?
No. The film is optically clear, so it does not distort the picture or soften the focus.

How do I stop the sleeve fogging up?
Let the camera tip come to room temperature before you fit the sleeve. Fogging is almost always a cold tip meeting warm breath rather than the barrier itself.
Why does an intraoral camera need a barrier?
The camera touches saliva and soft tissue on every use, and the handpiece cannot go through the autoclave. The barrier is what stands between the two.
