One long sleeve covers an instrument together with its cord, so there is no open join where the tubing meets the handpiece — which is exactly where splatter tends to settle. Two widths, both 45 cm long: 5.5 cm for bulkier couplings and 4.5 cm for standard instruments. 250 sleeves per pack. Thanks to their leak-proof construction, the sleeves minimise the risk of transmitting microorganisms such as the viruses HIV, HBV or HCV.

What width should I choose?
017-1B is 5.5 × 45 cm and gives more room around bulkier couplings; 017B is 4.5 × 45 cm for standard instruments. They are separate articles, and both come 250 to a pack.
Can one sleeve cover an instrument and its cord together?
Yes. At 45 cm one sleeve reaches over the instrument and the attached length of cord in a single piece, so there is no open join where the two meet.
Why cover the cord as well as the instrument?
The cord is the part that gets dragged across the patient, the bracket table and the operator, and it is the part nobody has time to clean between appointments.
What can these sleeves be used on?
Handpieces, turbines, contra-angles and their cords, and any similar instrument that fits within the width you choose.
Can a sleeve be reused?
No. Each sleeve is single use and is discarded after one patient.
