Will these fit my cephalometric unit?
The sleeves are 6 cm in diameter and made from a film that stretches like a glove, so they take the ear rods on most cephalostats.
Why do ear rods need covering?
The rods sit in the external auditory meatus, in direct contact with the patient, and they are handled at every set-up. It is one of the few points on the machine where a barrier is not optional.
What box quantities are available?
CEPH-150 comes 150 to a box and CEPH-300 comes 300 to a box. Both are 6 cm in diameter.
Do the sleeves show up on the image?
No. The film is thin and radiolucent, so it does not show on the radiograph.
Can a sleeve be reused?
No. Each sleeve is single use and is discarded after one patient.
