Will the sleeve affect image quality?
No. The film is optically clear, so it does not distort the picture or soften the focus.
Which intraoral cameras do these fit?
They fit most intraoral camera handpieces in general use, including models from DEXIS, Carestream CS 1200 and CS 1500, Dentsply Sirona SiroCam, Acteon SoproCare and Planmeca Somia.
How do I stop the sleeve fogging up?
Let the camera tip come to room temperature before you fit the sleeve. Fogging is almost always a cold tip meeting warm breath rather than the barrier itself.
Why does an intraoral camera need a barrier?
The camera touches saliva and soft tissue on every use, and the handpiece cannot go through the autoclave. The barrier is what stands between the two.
